Mia

Mia

She is my daughter, and she lights up my world because she is loving and does not yet allow fear to mess that up.  She has cerebral palsy because she was born three months early and suffered from hydrocephalus.  She lived for the first three months of her life in the NICU at Methodist Hospital in Dallas.  The best everyday times I had with her, then, were spent reading to her and getting to kangaroo care her, when she got big enough.

Her baby site is here: Mia Emmeline is not a baby anymore!

I have to add this truth: my best everyday times are always with Mia. The beautiful way she sees the world makes me see it better, and that’s why she is a gift to me.
